Prime Health Urgent Care is looking for friendly, outgoing and positive-energy candidates to join our team in the Estero - Lehigh acres locations.
This position will provide cross coverage to the front desk and back office daily.
Responsibilities
Provide patient care by assisting the urgent care clinicians in the delivery of excellent and timely healthcare as well as performing other duties related to patients’ assessment, treatment, re-evaluation, and discharge.
Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
Take patient history and vital signs.
Apply splints and dressings, prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments including sterilization.
Assist clinicians in preparing for minor procedures and physicals.
Perform diagnostic testing, phlebotomy and distributive laboratory paperwork.
Dispense medication as directed.
Disinfect working areas and patient rooms.
Provide solutions to patient concerns within the scope of position.
Clerical duties as assigned.
Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
Assist patients with checking in and out of the facility/office.
Validate patient information for insurance eligibility purposes.
Collect time of service payments and patient balances.
Handle telephone calls from clients, patients, prospective patients, physicians, pharmacies, insurance providers as well as handle follow up.
Maintain patient records and department logs for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physician’s review, etc.
Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments.
Maintain clinical and clerical office supplies and equipment.
Complete opening and closing procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
Skills
Proven working experience as a Certified Medical assistant and medical secretary.
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
Phlebotomy.
Medical Terminology.
Bilingual a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
