Certified Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant should able to perform or be willing to learn both clinical and administrative office duties by providing support to the physicians, patients and staff through a variety of tasks related to patient care. Must be organized, punctual, dependable, possess excellent written and verbal communication, pay attention to detail and have the ability to multitask.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients.
• Collect Co-pays.
• Verify, enter/update patient demographics.
• Update insurance information.
• Collect and upload patient documents.
• Prepare patient charts for upcoming office visit, document patient histories, pull hospital records, data entry of labs, follow up on test results.
• Room patients; obtain vitals; blood pressure, weight, and temperature; verify and update patient allergies, medications, pharmacy info and record immunizations.
• Check out patient; follow physician in room to scribe and schedule the patients next office visit.
• Schedule imaging and referrals.
• Obtain prior authorizations.
• Complete prescription refills.
• Patient triage via phone.
• Communicate with physicians and staff.
• Prepare, clean and stock exam rooms with the necessary supplies.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)/Registered Medical Assistant(RMA) preferred
• Knowledge of EMR systems and MS Office required
• Previous medical office experience preferred
• Teamwork

Job Type: Full-time
