Job Description: Under general supervision of the principal and athletic director, oversee and coordinate the athletic training programs and staff/student wellness functions for the school system. This job classification requires a flexible working schedule that includes nights and weekends. Ensures compliance with all State and Federal Laws, State Department of Education Rules and Regulations and Jones County Board of Education Policies where applicable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Credential: Possess a valid athletic training license and/or certification.
Responsibilities:

• Provide athletic training services to student athletes for all programs in concordance with team physcians and/or other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain inventory of athletic training supplies and equipment.
• Assist the athletic director with the facilitation of physical and academic eligibility (including sports physical examinations and collection of insurance information), a requirement for participation in each sport, and verifies each athletes' eligibility.
• Assist the principal and athletic director with planning, implementation, instruction of First Aid Training to necessary staff.
• Provide training to coaches on preventative measure to avoid athletic injuries.
• Maintain contact with state officials and GHSA personnel concerning student and athletic health and safety issues.
• Communicate with athletic director, principal, coaches, and parents concerning student athletic injuries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment: 230-day contract (12-month). Salary based upon certifications and experience.
