POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate for our Cellar Worker position works collaboratively in a team environment, is punctual, reliable, a good communicator and passionate about winemaking! POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning, sanitizing and sterilizing all winery equipment and facilities
- Racking and pumping of juice and wine; moving hoses and equipment
- Making chemical additions to juice and wine; moving hoses and equipment
- Safe operation of a forklift to move and stack barrels in the warehouse & wine caves
- Filling, topping and racking barrels
- Obtaining lab samples
- Fining and filtering juice and wine
- Operating crusher, presses and filter
- Assist in equipment maintenance
- Following and observing all safe cellar practices
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Requires 2 to 3 years prior, relevant cellar experience, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, as well as able to bend and lift on the job and be able to work safely around equipment, electrical outlets and chemicals. Ability to work extended work weeks (especially during harvest) while maintaining a positive attitude and staying on task.
Compensation: $20-22 per hour
We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, length of service, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
