The Fleet Maintenance Lead is responsible for managing fleet management with the maintenance and operation of the Healthfirst fleet. Assists in the troubleshooting of maintenance issues and resolutions. Makes recommendations and takes appropriate actions for the most efficient and cost-effective repairs to maximize fleet utilization. Audits vendor vehicle repairs for correctness and cost assessment utilizes that information to determine the correct vendors for future services.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develops and implements maintenance processes and practices including, computerized record keeping, maintenance and management reporting.
- Works closely with management and local service contractors to ensure cost effective maintenance of the fleet to achieve reliability goals.
- Manages vehicle maintenance including scheduling and prioritizing major repairs.
- Performs field inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Orders, issues and audit fleet fuel card purchases.
- Provides field employees telephone troubleshooting and assessment of mechanical issues.
- Assists with DOT compliance including periodic inspections.
- Drives and operate Healthy Moves or other mobile unit(s) when needed.
- Trains new drivers in operation of mobile units including Rep driven units.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Vehicle maintenance and mechanical knowledge is required.
- Team-oriented, ability to quickly develop strong relationships with drivers and management.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A, B, or C with zero points and no previous convictions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
- High school diploma, GED or technical school training including vehicle maintenance training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with vehicle maintenance tracking software
- Experience with diagnosing breakdown repairs and solution
- Comfortable operating sound and video equipment
- Versed in the operation and maintenance of onboard generators.
- Able to assist fleet management with budget input preparation

Hiring Range*:
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $76,000 - $109,820
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $67,600 - $100,555
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
