Position Summary:

The College of Business and Security Management at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is looking for qualified Adjunct Faculty to create online course content and develop engaging curriculum for the following areas: Accounting, Applied Management, Business Administration, Economics, Emergency Management, Healthcare Management, Homeland Security, and Sports and Recreation Business.

CBSM ADJUNCT POOL POSITION (NON-CREDIT; COURSE DEVELOPMENT)

The College of Business and Security Management (CBSM) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is looking for qualified Adjunct Faculty for the 2023-2024 academic year to create online course content and develop engaging curricula for the following areas: Accounting, Applied Management, Business, Economics, Emergency Management, Healthcare Management, Homeland Security, and Sports and Recreation Management. Successful applicants should have a master's degree or Ph.D. in a related field and professional experience in the field of study relevant to the course being developed. Applicants should be familiar with online learning.

Work might be in-person or remote, depending on the needs of the program respective to the course being developed.

This is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis. Salary rates are $1,666 per credit hour; most semester-based courses are 3 credit hours for a total salary of $5,000 to develop a three-credit course.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Extensive experience in the field of study related to the course being developed.
Ability to create online course content.

Preferred Experience & Education:
Experience sufficient to perform the job.
Experience in higher education is preferred.

Required Experience & Education:

Masters level degree or Ph.D. related to business, accounting, economics, homeland security, emergency management, cybersecurity, healthcare management, or sports and recreation business.



Salary Information:

This is a part-time position. Salary rates are $1,666 per credit hour; most semester-based courses are 3 credit hours for a total salary of $5,000.
