Position Details
These positions vary from 3-20 hours per week depending on the need and assignment. Work may be performed in classrooms, labs, or copy/supply room.
This position may also assist with grading via a grading rubric. Breakdown will vary by course.
10%: Attend and complete a pedagogy training course.
- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
- International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
- Engineering undergraduate major
- Sophomore or above
- Knowledge of Canvas
- Strong interpersonal skills and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
- Attention to detail and organization
- Demonstrable ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Bioengineering major
- Junior or above
- Successful completion of the course they are supporting with a B+ or higher
- Overall GPA greater than 3.0/Pre-core GPA greater than 3.2
- Comfortable leading sections of a class with 25-30 students each
- A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity
- Students must complete FERPA training prior to beginning work
