Catering Sales Coordinator

$55,000 - $65,000/yr depending on experience plus performance bonuses & gratuity when applicable

Austin's oldest Catering company is looking for an experienced Catering Sales Coordinator. Dagar's Catering is an offsite, full-service caterer. We have been in business since 1952 and strive to build a great culture for our employees. The Catering Sales Coordinator is responsible for communicating with clients and responding to new prospective clients, acting as the point of first response for new sales communications, gathering information and helping clients to plan their events, and helping to push sales for the company.

Catering sales is a highly detailed and involved process and includes conducting tastings on site at the Dagar's Office, conducting event venue walkthroughs with event coordinators, helping coordinate with other teams involved in the production of events, and communicating with Dagar's Event staff to ensure that events are properly planned and executed. This is primarily an office position with regular hours however attendance at some events and some weekends may be required based on event schedule.

Duties of the Catering Sales Coordinator include but are not limited to the following:

Be able to work with Catering Event Leads to ensure the execution team has the latest information about an event as well as any special instructions about the event, including last minute changes.

Be able to work with warehouse staff to go over equipment pull list to ensure that event has all necessary equipment, beverages, ice, etc.

Be able to work with kitchen staff to check off all food items and communicate clearly any special instructions from the client or event coordinator

Be able to organize multiple prospective leads and maintain a followup schedule with each

Be comfortable in a sales position and be comfortable pushing sales for the company and upselling

Have a positive attitude and willing to be flexible around event schedules

Be available to attend events as needed to ensure client satisfaction

*Plus if the Catering Sales Coordinator is comfortable acting as a Catering Event Lead for specific events.

*Plus if the Catering Sales Coordinator is comfortable driving a box truck and has a valid drivers license with a good driving record
