- 1+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML
- Experience in buying, marketing, operations and/or finance
- Experience in analytical acumen, and generating and managing reporting and analysis
The Category Manager will engage directly with multiple internal teams to drive the success and growth of a key Prepared Foods category. You will utilize a wide range of skills and work across major functional areas such as site merchandising, buying, pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance to drive the performance of category/sub-category at Amazon.
A day in the life
- Be the ‘business owner’ for your category/sub-category, working autonomously and possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact your business
- Develop a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments
- Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability goals
- Develop a comprehensive production and promotional strategy to meet business goals
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines
- Support Sr. Category Managers with defects, pricing and promotions as needed

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $103,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
