Job Description:
The CAT Lead Therapist works with youth with complex needs in the community program in homes, schools, and up to 18 youths on a caseload. Providing advocacy, attending meetings, and providing individual, group, and family therapy in the St. Johns County area.
Qualifications / Competencies:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field of study AND 3 years clinical experience with children or adolescents with behavioral health needs
- License eligible for Licensed Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Mental Health Counseling
- Ability to review and assess CAT initial assessments, care plans, discharge summaries and communicate feedback to CAT therapists
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team for the benefit of the children and the agency
- Ability to deal effectively with crisis situations
- Ability to present cases clearly and to communicate effectively on clinical issues with treatment team members and other professionals in the community

- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
- Pass multiple background screenings, including a level 2 background check and drug screening
Responsibilities:
The Community Action Team Lead Therapist is responsible:
- Report to the CAT Clinical Supervisor
- Assisting CAT Clinical Supervisor in staffing/supervision support for CAT staff as needs arise within the team
- Assisting in managing the waitlist, referral process and caregiver orientation
- Assisting CAT Clinical Supervisor in providing in-service training
- Attending outreach opportunities to develop community relationships
- Acting as primary therapist for up to 18 youth
- Providing individual, group and family therapy as outlined in the program descriptions which shall follow the care plan of each child
- Following all policies and procedures of the organizations
- Utilizing the Wraparound Model in collaboration with Case Manager, Peer Specialists/Mentor, and the family identified natural supports
- Completing care plans, updates, session notes, and other required reports in the manner described by the policies and procedures
- Attending all Treatment Team Meetings
- Following all clinical directives given by the clinical supervisor, consulting psychiatrist, psychologist, and Clinical Director
- Being on-call when scheduled and responding to crisis by phone or in-person as needed
- Other duties as assigned
