Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers at the checkout counter
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Skills:
- Food preparation: Ability to handle and prepare food items according to established recipes and guidelines
- Culinary: Knowledge of culinary techniques and principles for food preparation and presentation
- Food service: Experience in a food service setting, such as a restaurant or cafeteria
- Catering: Familiarity with catering operations, including menu planning, setup, and service
- Food industry: Understanding of the food industry, including regulations and best practices
- Menu planning: Ability to create menus based on dietary requirements, preferences, and budget constraints
- Dietary department: Knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets commonly found in healthcare or institutional settings
- Kitchen: Proficiency in working in a kitchen environment, including using kitchen equipment and following safety protocols
- Meal preparation: Experience in preparing meals for individuals or large groups, ensuring quality and timeliness
- Food handling: Understanding of proper food handling procedures to maintain safety and prevent contamination
