Cashier And Customer Service

This is a Scale Operator position performing cashiering and Customer Service.

The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

A typical work schedule is 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday with overtime as required including Saturdays. Hours are subject to change based on business necessity.

This job requires passing a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check requirements.

This job also requires working outdoors including inclement weather (rain, snow, heat, cold, wind, etc.)

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an individual to fill a position as a Scale Operator. The Scale Operator will be responsible for monitoring our equipment to ensure precision accuracy, and will also be required to maintain our equipment and log production and quality data. The ideal candidate is committed to quality assurance, has experience in manufacturing, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and can work well with others as part of a team.

• Must be willing to work outdoors including in inclement weather
• Transporting large objects using a scale
• Operating a small vehicle such as a forklift
• Calculating weight. Responsible for the accuracy of all weighing
• Operating a hydraulic scale. Keep the scale in balance for all weighing (no manual inputting).
• Reading and deciphering numbers
• Communicating with others
• Follow all applicable metal theft laws as they pertain to each type of transaction
• Keep the weighing equipment in good condition
• Conduct monthly scale weight spot checks. Report all problems to your Supervisor
• Provide basic price quotes
• Keep all purchasing and sales tickets in alphabetical order
• Notify your supervisor with any transaction discrepancies
• Test radiation detective system daily at the start of shift
• Detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and ability to multi-task
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Dependable, flexible, and ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment. Shift changes and overtime subject to business needs
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills
• Positive attitude, goal-oriented, and ability to work with minimal supervision

Skills/Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Computer literate
• Math Skills (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
