CalPERS seeks an Associate Accounting Analyst, in the Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division, Cash and Payment Processing Unit.
Under the general direction of the Financial Accountant II, Supervisor of the Cash & Payment Processing Unit, this position performs complex and difficult professional accounting tasks requiring knowledge of fiduciary and proprietary funds, and Legal Basis and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure appropriate general ledger accounts, funds, and fiscal years are utilized to provide accurate and consistent cash records and receipts. The Associate Accounting Analysis position will utilize a variety of automated systems and tools to record, deposit, and remit all payments for all CalPERS funds. The work performed involves multiple systems and transactions which are complex, and the risk of error is substantial.
