Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Case Manager to join our team. The Case Manager will be responsible for providing administrative support to our legal team and assisting with various case management tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong clerical skills and a background in legal administrative work. Duties
● Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from inception to resolution, including but not limited to motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and medical malpractice.
● Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on case progress and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
● Conduct intake interviews with clients to gather essential information about their case, injuries, and medical treatment.
● Coordinate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other relevant parties to obtain necessary documentation and evidence to support the case.
● Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement demands.
● Monitor deadlines and ensure all case-related tasks are completed accurately and within established timelines.
● Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing police reports and medical records.
● Collaborate with attorneys and legal assistants to develop case strategies and prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials.
● Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and defense attorneys on behalf of clients, striving to achieve the best possible outcome.
● Maintain detailed and organized case files, ensuring all relevant documents and correspondence are accurately recorded and accessible.
● Perform administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry as needed.
```Requirements```
● Prior experience working in a law firm setting, particularly in personal injury law, is strongly preferred.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, attorneys, and external stakeholders.
● Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
● Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and regulations related to personal injury cases.
● Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to help clients navigate challenging situations.
● Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work occasional overtime as needed.
● Previous experience with settlement negotiations is a plus.
● Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
