They have a Remote Loan Specialist / Operations Assistant role, someone to assist with Investors and their Loan Application process for applications and renewals.
Position Pays $35-50/HR DOE
Loan Specialist will manage the loan origination and closing process by providing exemplary customer service both to internal stakeholders (Originations, Credit, Legal, Funding) and external stakeholders (brokers, advisors, borrowers, 3rd party affiliates), ensuring new loans are documented properly, and performing all loan servicing functions while maintaining a high quality of output and meeting all deadlines and time requirements. This role will focus primarily on Canadian and Hong Kong originated loans and reports to the Head of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the loan process from submission to closing and communicate with internal and external stakeholders both in writing and verbally
- Complete new loan opportunity in Loan Management System, review loan package, order credit report and conduct KYC/AML for Borrower and Advisor
- Compile and distribute credit underwriting package, facilitate decision making process, distribute credit decision along with requirements and contingencies to Originations
- Maintain, track, and report on loan and client information stored in various loan tracking and management systems
- Follow up with internal and external customers to drive the loan process to funding or completion
- Review list of outstanding loan underwriting requirements, trust documents, term sheets, loan documents, and contact Originations to obtain the status and expected return dates
- Perform client interviews
- Generate invoices, VAC's, and LAC's
- Maintain all ledgers and books until transferring to the Loan Management System
- Participate in meetings to help define requirements, discuss system workflows and test new system functions
- Assist in the development, testing and transfer of data from our current process to the Loan Management System
Requirements/Skills
Ability to learn and grow
Proven customer service experience with strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively internally and externally
Detail oriented, with high attention to accuracy and completeness
Demonstrated aptitude with numbers
Process oriented
Able to develop and/or recommend process improvements that establish greater accuracy of data and improvement of internal controls
Strong Excel skills, formulas and v-lookup
Pay Details: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour
