Carpenter - Home Services By Amek And Vujovich

Summary

The Home Service Carpenter is responsible for completing carpentry tasks for Home Service remodeling projects with quality workmanship that meets the AMEK and VUJOVICH quality standards. The carpenter will utilize a variety of power tools and perform a variety of construction duties including but not limited to demolition, framing, building stairs, installing cabinets, tiling, drywall, painting, installing fixtures and completing finishing work.

Responsibilities

• Complete carpentry tasks including basic framing, interior and exterior trim carpentry, tile, drywall, and painting using all applicable tools, equipment and devices.
• Work in collaboration with the Home Service Field Manager
• Operate hand tools, machines, and power saws for various needs.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout
• Determine materials required for projects.
• Ability to complete installation in all situations under manufacturer’s installation guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of carpentry experience with exposure to all aspects of remodeling and new construction or related experience and/or training. Finish carpentry experience is preferred.
• Strong organization, and collaboration skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to speak effectively before customers or subcontractors of the organization.
• Displays a high level of professionalism.
• Thorough understanding of the building processes for remodels and knowledge of all applicable building codes related to a project.
• Ability to read and to understand floor plans and elevations.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and roofing skills.
• Be a high-integrity problem solver dealing with variables throughout the home remodeling process.
• Self-motivated and skilled at using your time efficiently.

Home Services by AMEK + VUJOVICH offers a range of Home Services, home service subscriptions, and specialty projects. The home service division serves as a lead generator for design-build and is used to maintain existing design-build clients. The Home Services offer small to medium size home projects that don’t require design services. The home service subscriptions offer regular maintenance services to help our customers keep their homes in top condition. Specialty projects include construction defect work, large roofing, siding, window projects, and other unique, nondesign-dependent home projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
