Advertised Job Summary
The CarolinaCAP Candidate Support Specialist is responsible for a range of strategic activities that support candidate progression and continuous program improvement via data collection and analysis.
Required Education and Experience
Master's Degree or higher in education or a related field, and at least three years of work experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Understanding of the education system/community in SC Demonstrated ability to effectively use Microsoft Office, internet search engines, social media platforms, and other widely-used computer programs and applications such as Google, Basecamp, Zoom, and Teams. High skillset in written and oral communication, coordination, and organization (i.e., demonstrated effectiveness as an oral and written communicator at a college graduate or higher level).
Job Duty
Serves as the support person for CarolinaCAP residents and candidates by co-planning and co-facilitating CarolinaCAP candidate orientations, maintaining communication with residents and candidates, coordinating candidate virtual learning community sessions, tracking resident and candidate PRAXIS progress, coordinating PRAXIS support sessions, leading the update process for the candidate handbook.

Oversees monitoring of resident and candidate progression collaborating with CarolinaCAP coach leads to support resident and candidate progress, creating/updating yearly progress letter for candidates, meeting with struggling candidates to co-create review improvement plan.

Co-lead CarolinaCAP data collection and analysis by communicating with district partners to organize logistics for quarterly site visits for the internal CarolinaCAP team; collaborating with external evaluators and district partners to plan and facilitate yearly external evaluation visits; collaborating with director, external evaluators, and appropriate team members to collect and analyze data; and recommend pathway updates based on data analysis.
