JOB TITLE:HOME HEALTH AIDE-HIRING IMMEDIATELY

TYPE: PART TIME

OVERVIEW

At Brightstar Care Knoxville, the Home Health Aide or HHA is a member of the home care team who performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. The HHA is responsible for observing clients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.

The HHA nurtures relationships with clients in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a client’s care.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Creating a positive experience for clients and staff by fostering a caring and professional work environment.

• Provide client care as directed by the Plan of Care.
• Provide personal: (Bathing, Grooming, including oral care, dressing/undressing, toileting)
• Meal preparation, feed clients who are unable to feed themselves,
• Support good skin care to prevent skin breakdown (i.e. turn and reposition client, actively encourage movement)
• Provide client with help walking and transferring
• Provide light housekeeping

Observe client’s physical, mental and emotional conditions. Report any change to Administrative Staff and Document observed changes.

Skills/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified in CPR
• Licensed driver with automobile that is insured
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
• Empathy for the needs of the client
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to express spoken and/or written ideas in English. Treats clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image. Works as a team member. Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Rockford, TN: Relocate before starting work (Required)
