Private Home Caregiver:

Nursing degree not required but welcome. Seeking 4 to 5 years experience but willing to train the right person if certain scheduling and capabilities are a good match. .

Assist in the care of a wonderful 91 year old relatively healthy patient.

Duties include: Medication compliance twice a day with meals and as needed. Charting will be required and we will train charting needs. Bathing, dressing, assistance with the restroom, and other hygiene needs. Prepare and serve meals and beverages. If you're a great cook Bonus!, but not required. Some help up on a sunny day and out to the porch for a little vitamin D, and maybe enjoying a good movie will be somewhat common.

Car is also a bonus, but not required. Patient does not require transportation to appointments or other transportation needs as the family will remain active in continued care.

We have several paths we can take in our hiring of a caregiver or caregivers. I am the patient's son and my son and I live at the residence as well, however we both have obligations away from the home throughout the week. My daughter and her husband also live a couple doors down and are both medical professionals. Patient is really quite healthy and on a relatively low amount of medication albeit around 15 pills a day. Patient is also in relatively good cognitive condition(at one point my personal wikipedia, well before Google) , but has had a decline in mobility and overall strength in recent years. This is the area we need the most attention and assistance. Currently uses a walker independently and a wheelchair with assistance for longer adventures.

Clean safe environment in a nice Ooltewah community in which we can offer the following employment options and/or a combination thereof between more than one caregiver..

Live in: Room and board plus wages based on work schedule hours. (Private Room)

Full time plus limited sleepover nights: Hourly + Sleepover rate (Private Room)

Part time plus limited sleepover nights: Hourly +Sleepover rate (Private Room)

Full time: Hourly

Part time: Hourly

Very clean and spacious home with all amenities. Additional income avenues possible as well if willing/able to take on deep cleaning responsibilities. Not required.

We have a lot of options and will work with the right individual(s) for the job. Main requirements are finding a person or persons we can trust, is capable in all related tasks, is caring and is reliable. Experience with elderly care is a great plus but not required. Nursing and other students are also welcome to apply.

Patient is an abundance of wisdom, filled with a life of amazing stories and is incredibly funny!
