Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers/Companions to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver/Companion, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our clients by offering companionship, personal care, and assistance with daily activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions
- Administer medication reminders
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
- Provide assistance with mobility, including transferring and lifting if necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions
- Experience with dementia care, hospice care, or childcare is a plus
- Basic understanding of vital signs and ability to monitor client's health
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if required)
- Ability to lift and move clients as needed
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to maintaining their dignity
