Caregivers assist individuals who have difficulty performing basic day-to-day activities, for example, the elderly, disabled persons, or people suffering from chronic or mental disorders. A caregiver’s duties include but not limited to assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and providing companionship.
Caregiver Job Description
We are seeking an attentive and trustworthy caregiver to join our staff in providing excellent care to our clients.
To succeed as a caregiver you should be patient, empathetic, and have strong people skills. You should be observant and committed to making your client feel safe and comfortable.
Caregiver Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
- Ensuring the client’s home is clean and organized according to their needs and that safety measures are in place. You will also be expected to assist with light housework.
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.
- Providing mobility assistance may be required, for example helping the client in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.
- Escorting the client to medical and other appointments
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the residents; performs general housekeeping; and follows cleaning schedules for laundry, bedrooms, dining area, living space, bathrooms, kitchen, and other areas.
- Follows proper procedures in emergency situations and responds promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.
We are currently looking to staff clients in the Silsbee, Beaumont, and Port Arthur areas.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $10.60 per hour
