We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and promoting their independence.
```Responsibilities:```
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily activities
- Assist with behavior management and implement strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Provide dementia care for clients with memory impairments
- Assist with lifting and transferring clients as needed
- Monitor and record vital signs of clients
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Implement and follow established systems and routines
```Requirements:```
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques is highly desirable
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with transfers
- Experience in dementia care is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor
