Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes or in a nursing home setting.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Engage in social activities and provide companionship to promote emotional well-being.
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in condition or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Requirements:
- Valid certification or license as a caregiver or nursing assistant preferred.
- Experience in caregiving, direct support, or related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR.
- Familiarity with medication administration and documentation.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or client needs.
