SalaryWe are looking for a competent Caregiver to care for our 77 year old mother in Aurora, Nebraska at her comfortable ranch home. Both day part time and nights full time are needed. We are looking for a compassionate, caring, and dedicated person to not only care for our mom, but be with her to brighten her day. The job can be simple tasks, yet very rewarding. Mom is a very kind person, semi-independent, who follows directions well. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help our mom.
Responsibilities
- Help clients take prescribed medication
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Help clients with physical therapy exercises
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
- Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- if full time or nights, be willing to stay over
Requirements
- Experience is helpful but not required
- Good knowledge of basic emergency responses.
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
