What We Offer: The targeted starting pay range for this position is between $24.00-$28.50 per hour. Our benefits program for full-time colleagues includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as flexible spending and health savings accounts. Does the idea of helping students achieve professional success through career development excite you? You could be the Career Services Advisor we've been looking for. As a Career Services Advisor you will assist graduates in securing education-related employment through developing their employment search skills. Daily responsibilities of a Career Services Advisor include making outbound calls and emails to employers to tell them about our graduates, community outreach, scheduling interviews, and ensuring placement of graduates. This position is supported and supervised by the Regional Career Services Director, campus, and regional teams.

Education and/or Experience - Associate's Degree; three years of job development or placement experience, preferably in an educational setting. Required degree(s) must be from institutions accredited by recognized U.S. accrediting agencies. Duties:

- Provide career counseling and guidance to students and alumni
- Assist students with resume writing, cover letter development, and interview preparation
- Conduct mock interviews to help students improve their interviewing skills
- Collaborate with employers to develop internship and job opportunities for students
- Organize career fairs and networking events to connect students with potential employers
- Stay updated on industry trends and job market information to provide relevant advice to students
- Utilize PeopleSoft and other Career Services software to track student progress and maintain records

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., counseling, education, human resources)
- Experience working with students in an educational or Career Services setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse populations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze student needs and provide appropriate guidance
- Proficiency in public speaking and delivering presentations
- Familiarity with recruiting practices and job search strategies
- Knowledge of academic advising principles and practices
