General Purpose of Position:
The Pest Management Service Manager is responsible for providing a productive and motivating working environment and addressing any issues/disputes from customers or clients. Delivering a comprehensive service to inquiring customers ensuring that all service orders are completed by the end of each month.
Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Create, implement and check chemical distribution and usage by route.
- Create and present solutions for problems when they occur and try to offset problems before the fact whenever possible.
- Responsible for scheduling and routing of all service technicians
- Work with other Managers to obtain new leads and help your service representatives sell more.
- Make assigned quality checks and calls as outlined by Director of Operations, assist in following up with Quality Control audits to ensure all issues were addressed and the customer is pleased with the level of service.
- Send Quality Control reports to the service representatives outlining deficiencies and areas that need improvement.
- Resolve special technical problems or concerns received from clients if they have not/cannot be resolved through client interaction with the Technical Service Representative assigned to account and when necessary provide additional services to customer at no cost.
- Keep Director of Operations informed of issues at customer accounts; i.e. construction, commercial tenant space, customer-service representative relationship issues, etc.
- Assist with implementing a formal training program to be rolled out and train all service representatives to do their jobs within the standards set by the company.
- Ensure the appearance of the service representatives and the vehicles are up to company standards and in good working conditions.
- Administer vehicle inspections to see that all vehicles are maintained, clean, safe and stocked with materials as per the CPM Vehicle QA Inspection Checklist.
- Update all service representatives on new products, application techniques, etc.
- Make sure all service representatives’ paperwork/time records are filled out correctly, calculate total hours worked and submit the totals on a weekly basis. See that all call backs/emergency visits are completed in the specified time, as per the customers’ contract and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Discipline employees and recommend firing of employees to Director of Operations.
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Ride with at least one route person per week to polish the Service Representatives skills.
- Ensure the appearance of the service representatives and the vehicles are up to company standards and in good working conditions.
- Use industry specific software (Pest Pac) to add Quality Control orders when needed, run reports to determine service representative’s productivity and assist Director of Operations in creating quality calls.
- Seek to improve service and production on an ongoing basis.
- Five years prior experience in pest control or a similar industry that operates routes to service clients.
- Five years of recent successful operations or general management and leadership experience.
- Results-oriented, assertive, accountable, and goal-driven, with a passion for quality service and developing new business.
- Excellent communication ability, strong leadership skills, and enjoy solving problems.
- The ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime, travel within the home community daily and out-of-town occasionally as well as a valid driver’s license is required.
- Creating, implementing, and maintaining quality standards & processes across several functions of the business.
- Account generation, maintenance and retention; hiring, training and supervision of technician staff; and solid management of business operations.
