Job Summary
Assists in providing self-care training and therapeutic treatments to residents of mental and physical disability center.
General Accountabilities
Demonstrates activities such as restroom duties and dressing in self-care practices. Some clients may require physical maneuvering.
Converses with residents to promote social interaction.
Serves meals.
Accompanies clients on off-grounds trips and instructs and counsels residents in purchase of items.
Aids staff in administering therapeutic activities, such as physical exercises, arts and crafts, and recreational games.
Observes and documents clients' behaviors in order to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals.
Gives medications as prescribed.

Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Appropriate certifications and/or licensures with some previous work-related experience (CPR/First Aide, Abuse & Neglect Certification)
