Cannabis Dispensary Store Manager

We are currently seeking a Cannabis Dispensary Store Manager to champion the vision for Verona Collective and be responsible for all day-to-day business operations, including hiring, training, developing, and supporting team members and management staff, driving consistent attention to compliance standards and operational efficiencies, and executing the strategic plan to drive revenues and profitability. This position requires a desire for continued excellence and a drive for consistent sales growth.

WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED - The ideal candidate for this role must be available to work on weekends.

Responsibilities include:

• Meet or exceed goals related to total store sales, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Forecast and adjust payroll needs to maximize productivity, while continuing to exceed sales goals and create a harmonious workflow.
• Structure a team that manifests the Verona Collective mission, values, and culture by continuously exceeding customer expectations and driving brand loyalty.
• Oversee and interpret varying departmental reporting regularly. Create in-store reporting to be reviewed with the Director of Retail weekly.
• Implement marketing promotions and campaigns under the direction of the Director of Retail
• Attract, onboard, develop, and retain a team of highly skilled individuals.
• Develop and maintain a tenacious work environment, encouraging the growth and success of team members.
• Embody a culture of collaboration and open communication standards, working directly with management and team members to create a standard of cohesiveness.
• Stay educated on all company policies & procedures, and operating systems, and ensure compliance for all team members.
• Schedule accordingly to assure high-quality customer service and flow, decrease loss opportunities, and increase sales metrics.
• Maintain all employee files including all HR reports, training, and reprimand documentation.
• Keep track of all cash management needs including but not limited to cash sales deposits, budget tracking, change orders, discrepancies investigation, and debit processing.
• Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention.
• Ensure a safe space is being maintained at all times, staying in constant communication with security personnel and staff.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 5+ years of retail or hospitality managerial experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have familiarity with cannabis or prior work experience within a cannabis setting.
• Extraordinary customer service and communication prowess.
• An expertise in leadership skills with an ability to build and manage teams.
• Flexible, full-time availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Proven ability to examine sales trends and reports and envelop those into any needs of the business to sustain continued business growth.
• Comfort in mediating stressful situations, as well as confidence in the ability to reprimand and/or terminate as needed.
• Proficiency in Windows software suites such as Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

• Adaptability and resilience to inspire confidence in the team and help navigate challenges effectively.
• Have the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances, handle setbacks, and maintain composure under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Prior inventory experience
• Operate in a highly regulated, compliance-minded environment.
