Cultivation Technician
$17.50 an hour – Full Time
Job Description
As a Cultivation Technician, you will perform manual labor assisting in the upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing medicinal cannabis, including, but not limited to, watering, feeding, pruning, cloning, cleaning, and transplanting. Attention to detail is critical in this role.
Responsibilities
•
Responsible for following all CCC operational compliance regulations, company policy, operational guidelines, and verbal directives when performing duties.
•
Assist in harvesting plant material on schedule, including drying and de-stemming.
•
Tend to the plants, including watering, re-potting, training, and movement of plant material and green waste.
•
Report to management any event or condition that might affect plant growth and development
•
Perform tasks in a highly productive and efficient manner related to sanitation, decontamination, propagation, transplantation, harvest, etc.
•
Monitor plants for pests and other threats with a keen eye to spot issues before they become a problem.
•
Wash and sanitize all equipment.
•
Accurately label plants.
•
Complete proper documentation of activities performed.
•
Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the cultivation department, including but is not limited to cleaning or moving supplies and equipment, helping the packaging department, or working at other locations as needed.
•
Continue education of marijuana strains, products, and the industry during downtime.
•
Always adhere to all safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the facility.
•
Maintain clear and open communication with the leadership team and other co-workers.
•
Be a positive role model and demonstrate ethical behavior; build positive team relationships throughout your department and the rest of the organization.

•
Must be at least 21 years old
•
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check as mandated by the Cannabis Control Commission
•
Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts with varied hours/day, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
•
Attention to detail

Strong work ethic
•
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
•
Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
•
Basic understanding of plant life cycle, cultivation, horticulture, or agriculture processes
•
Agriculture experience (preferred)
•
Experience with large scale agriculture (preferred)
Working Conditions/ Physical Demands
•
Able to lift 65 pounds and be able to maneuver between growing tables that are 24 inches apart, and repeatedly carry 15-20 pounds the length of warehouse/greenhouse
•
Able to stand for extended periods and kneel, stoop, bend, twist in tight areas
•
This position is considered a physical labor position that is best for people who are comfortable lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds repeatedly and standing, kneeling, and crouching for prolonged periods.
•
Able to work in hot, humid environments for extended periods with exposure to dust, allergens, and water
•
Repetitive use of hands for all functions
