Position Requirement & Training Period
Must love dogs but no previous experience working with dogs is necessary. We offer and require extensive paid training in dog body language and behavior.

Position Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe playgroup of off-leash dogs in open play
- Care for all canines as if they were a part of your family. Engage, play and enjoy the dogs' company
- Engage in positive reinforcement play management
- Support staffing by engaging job shadows with their in-room experience and through new staff training
- Keep playrooms clean of messes at all times including but not limited to mopping, sweeping, trash, and more
- Complete appropriate cleaning procedures and tasks to close down the playroom and prepare it for the next shift
- Respond to and resolve canine safety concerns and complete detailed and accurate reporting
- Accurately retrieve and dispense food and medication and follow proper cleaning and storing of feeding dishes
- Review canine development plans, apply strategies, and update communication logs every shift
- Complete Behavior and Activity Logs for each dog in assigned playroom
- Report dog health and behavior issues right away to ensure communication to pet parents
- Maintain confidentiality in Dogtopia practices and all aspects of the business

Dogtopia of West Frisco has four large and bright, temperature-controlled indoor playrooms complete with canine play equipment, rubber flooring (for joint health), pet-safe cleaning products designed for canine open-play, and trained caregivers who use positive reinforcement to help dogs succeed.Our facilities are also equipped with an air purification system designed to kill bacteria, mold, and viruses, including the SARS-coV-2 virus that causes COVID-19.
We chase the absolute highest standards of safety in everything we do! Our goal is to make sure all pups in our care are happy, safe and comfortable. We pledge 100% transparency to our pet parents. Each of our playrooms and outdoor play areas come equipped with high definition, live webcams.
We also believe strongly in enabling dogs to have a positive impact on the world. We support our local community and also raise funds for the Dogtopia Foundation, our national 501(3)(c) non-profit foundation that focuses on employing adults with Autism, youth literacy and sponsoring service dogs for Veterans.

Schedule:
- Sunday through Saturday
- Morning shifts 6:45 am to 12:30 pm or Afternoon shifts 1:45 pm to 7:30pm
