Call Center Specialist
Seeking a full time Call Center Specialist 40 hours per week, including Saturdays, to process member transactions, resolve member issues to completion, answer inbound telephone inquiries, and support outbound calling efforts.
Essential Functions
- Support inbound calls and provide exceptional customer service to membership and potential members.
- Serve membership by offering resolution services and communicating information in a professional, efficient manner.
- Complete and process member transactions at the first point of contact.
- Eliminate excessive transfers to other departments by completing calls at the first point of contact whenever possible.
- Follow through on service commitments to members such as research requests.
- Originate and approve loans within granted lending authority and guidelines.
- Work independently and contribute to team goals.
- Ability to plan and organize, handle multiple priorities and stressful situations.
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Personal Characteristics:
- 1 year experience within a bank or credit union preferably in a Call Center environment.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Candidate must also possess the ability to cross sell products.
- Strong decision making ability.
- Professional and positive phone etiquette / interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and listening skills, initiative, and problem solving abilities required.
Bilingual English/Portuguese or English/Spanish is a plus.
