About the Friedman Psychiatric Medical Group: Dr. David L. Friedman, MD, PhD, Director, Diplomate American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Assistant Clinical Professor, UCLA, Certified in Addiction Medicine, opened his practice of psychiatry to the workers’ compensation community in 1979. While simultaneously working as a selected and agreed medical examiner in cases of workers’ compensation disputes, Dr. Friedman would treat psychiatric and psychological injuries arising out of and through the course of employment. Since then, and under today’s climate of broad changes in medicine, Dr. Friedman has created what is now one of the few surviving psychiatric practices in some of the most restrictive treatment environments for one of the most under-served populations in the country. He has a passion for care, strives for exceptional quality, and has been trusted to serve communities of teachers, police officers, firefighters, victims of violence and terrorism, and laborers from all sectors of this economy. To that end, he has assembled a small team of like-minded, passionate, and unique individuals who share in this dream and work to make it come true.
