Are you a compassionate and dedicated therapist seeking a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals struggling with addiction? We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate therapist to join our team at a leading Detoxification and Substance Abuse Treatment Center.
Position: Therapist
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in their journey towards recovery from substance abuse and addiction.
- Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance abuse history, and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care for clients.
- Facilitate psycho-education sessions on topics such as relapse prevention, coping mechanisms, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting treatment progress, interventions, and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions relevant to addiction and substance abuse treatment.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current valid licensure as a therapist (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW) in the state of [State].
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing therapy in a substance abuse treatment or addiction recovery setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of addiction, withdrawal symptoms, and detoxification protocols.
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and/or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining accurate documentation.
