Job Overview:
The Calibration Technician is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of various types of equipment and instruments used in a wide range of industries. They perform calibration procedures, conduct tests, make adjustments, and maintain detailed records to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Calibration Procedures: Conduct calibration and adjustment procedures on equipment and instruments to guarantee accuracy and precision.
- Testing and Adjustments: Perform tests, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure it meets required standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of calibration activities, including results, adjustments, and equipment status.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on calibration equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all calibrated equipment meets industry regulations, standards, and quality requirements (such as ISO).
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues that affect equipment accuracy and functionality.
- Collaboration: Work with engineers, quality control personnel, or other relevant staff to communicate calibration issues and implement necessary solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in engineering, technology, or a relevant field OR equivalent work experience.
- Understanding of calibration principles and procedures.
- Experience with calibration tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
