Salary Range $88,600 - $146,200 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. What Your Job Will Be Like We are seeking a Facilities Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Team Lead to join our team!
The selected applicant will lead a team of CADD professionals that support all SNL sites, facilities, and infrastructure. The Facilities CADD Team Lead manages the CADD work and ensures that drafting and design requirements are captured and delivered in accordance with Facilities design standards and project performance objectives. You will manage and coordinate specific deliverables, overall program and project plans, budgets, structures, schedules, and staffing requirements.
On any given day, you may be called on to: Provide leadership, coaching, development, mentorship, and technical expertise for the CADD team Lead the members of the CADD Team to maintain Facilities design record drawings. Serve as the Facilities liaison with SNL IT as the CADD product manager to influence the unique needs of Facilities and assist in keeping the suite of CADD products operate and are configured to meet initiatives. Help develop and maintain project schedule, project budget and risk register.
Coordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, work assignments, recognition and disciplinary actions and contribute to performance assessments. Ensure that customer needs are satisfied by managing and coordinating specific deliverables, project plans, budgets, structures, schedules, and staffing requirements. Contribute to the acquisition and development of staff resources, capabilities, and existing and future projects.
Conduct performance reviews and provide staff feedback for continued improvement. Lead the Architecture/Engineering partners for CADD standards and drawing management. Perform project construction document quality control reviews Perform assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team.
Coordinate with Facilities Area Management teams and In-house design teams to ensure that record documents are available to support activities. Subject matter expert for creation and maintaining of CADD standard documents. This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Qualifications We Require Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus five (5) or more years of CADD experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Associate's + 9 years, no degree + 13 years) Experience in one or more of the following: AutoCAD, ProjectWise, MS Office, Access, Excel, Power Point and Word. Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE L-level security clearance. Qualifications We Desire Professional registration and/or certification in CADD related areas.
Leadership and decision-making skills Experience in the development of metrics. Excellent written, verbal, and customer relation communication skills. Working knowledge of Sandia's programs, processes, and administrative systems.
Understand and translate the organization's mission and strategic direction into challenging and meaningful goals and objectives for direct reports. Experience using Maximo and TRIRIGA. Ability to work in a team-focused environment and exercise discretion while effectively communicating with staff and managers.
Knowledge of process design and the ability to describe the overall flow. Knowledge of Sandia National Laboratories' infrastructure and site practices and procedures.
