Kimley-Horn is looking for an experience CAD Operator/Survey Technician to join our Survey team here in Orange, CA!
- Research and analysis of boundary, easement, and other title documents
Knowledge of reading and deciphering construction plans. Knowledge of preparing field calculations for staking.
- Review field notes, sketches, and other field survey related items
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D software to produce subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys and other various survey related maps or exhibits.
- Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for right of way, easements, acquisition parcels, etc.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience of relevant work, or Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
- Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) Certification and/or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Certification desired. Candidates not currently holding a LSIT Certification will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Bachelors in a surveying or engineering curriculum. Candidates without a Bachelors degree will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Salary Range: $65,000 to $85,000
