Pay: $60K year
What youll do:
Summary: This role provides support to account managers and engineers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams. Details include all views and dimensions necessary for the customer. Makes copies of drawings and maintains information regarding changes to database.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Use computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.
- Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
- Make final sketch of proposed drawing, check dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
- Sketch rough layout of machine and compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages and location of holes.
- Utilize knowledge of various equipment, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Draft detailed multi-view drawings of products.
- Draw finished designs from sketches.
- Update Drafting and Engineering Standards.
- Set up and maintain an organized electronic file system for production drawings.
- Convert existing production drawings into software.
- Communicate with tooling, QA, engineering, and operations regarding new and revised prints.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and/or 2-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experienced on CAD equipment and the relationship of CAD. Experienced with AutoCAD Full or LT software and basic geometry and tolls. Self-motivator with the ability to meet project milestones and deliverables on time. Ability to prioritize and identify critical and non-critical tasks.
