Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using software such as SolidWorks,
- Collaborate with supervisor to develop and modify designs based on project requirements
- Generate accurate schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Conduct design reviews to identify potential issues or improvements
- Perform tolerance analysis and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit and function
- Assist in the preparation of bills of materials (BOMs) for procurement purposes
- Provide support during the manufacturing and assembly process to resolve any design-related issues
Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to design and engineering
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and collaboration with team members
