Summary of Position:
The Cabinet Builder is responsible for the complete assembly process of a cabinet. The components to the cabinet are cut on CNC and edge banded on a banding machine. Builders will need to take parts, open dados on frames and assemble cabinets to a complete package.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for placing the parts on build stations and assembling cabinets one at a time until each job work order is complete.
Inspect all parts of the cabinet before assembly for cleanliness and flaws. Assemble to the quality standard of the shop. Need to mount glides, doors, hardware, leveling system on any given job.
Be able to fine cut and problem solve to complete each build out on time and to correct quality standards.
Tools for building supplied by Sap N’ Steel- You may choose to bring and use your personal tools.
Inspect each completed item to ensure that it has been constructed accurately.
Additional duties as assigned by your Manager/Supervisor.
Knowledge and Abilities to complete each task given to you.
Ability to meet deadlines, exhibit great attention to detail and communicate in a professional, concise manner. Familiarity with cabinet fabrication, terminology or similar industry experience is highly preferred, but not required
Ability to use various pneumatic tools to perform work functions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications Requests:
1-2 years of warehouse experience required.
Experience with pneumatic tools, saws, drills and hand tools.
Must be able to lift +50 lbs.
Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/32nd inch.
