We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Travel Pharmacist to join our team for a 13-week contract on California's beautiful Central Coast. The ideal candidate will be trained in Cerner and Omnicell, showcasing expertise in inpatient pharmacy duties. Location: Templeton, CA 93465
Start Date: ASAP
Shifts: Day shifts, 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications to patients, including inpatient unit doses, intravenous admixtures, hyperalimentation, chemotherapy, and outpatient prescriptions.
- Oversee the filling of stock requisitions to ensure appropriate handling.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services, including drug information, Drug Usage Evaluation data collection, pharmacokinetic dosing, IV to P.O. conversion, nutritional support consultations, and adverse drug reaction monitoring.
- Record data and control all pharmacy records for reporting purposes.
- Conduct "Nursing Unit Audits" and assess drug storage and usage areas to ensure proper storage and handling.
- Undertake special studies or projects assigned by the Director to enhance interdepartmental efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy.
- Minimum of two years of previous hospital pharmacy experience or pletion of an accredited Residency program.
- puter literate in Excel, WordPerfect, and Word software.
- Familiarity with unit dose, IV Admixture, puter applications, and Clinical Pharmacy Practice.
- Must have a valid California State Board of Pharmacy License in good standing.
Additional Information:
- Sign-on bonus does not apply to internal applicants.
- Pay range: $65.32 - $104.52 per hour.
- Individual wages determined based on qualifications and experience.
