Position: Community Education Center Receptionist (190 day agreement) Location: Byron, Minnesota Hours: Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 7:45-4:15, aligning with the Byron Public School Calendar. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities: Effective Communication:- Communicate clearly and meaningfully with staff, students, parents/guardians, and community members.
- Greet visitors entering the Community Education Center, providing guidance to their intended destination.
- Answer doors and phones with welcoming and courteous messages.
- Record and track daily attendance and lunch counts for early childhood education programs.
- Review and verify employee time cards bi-monthly.
- Assist the Health Aide in health office tasks, including the dispensing and recording of student medication.
- Set up schedules and courses in Infinite Campus for early childhood students and staff.
- Manage the process of filling absences and coordinate with substitutes in the Community Education Center (CEC)
- Set up classes in Class Registration for Community Education Programs and assist with registrations.
- Manage facility requests and rentals for the District, covering Community Education activities and community rentals for various groups, including youth associations, nonprofit organizations, and individual renters.
- Process applications, reserve space, identify needs, ensure custodial support, confirm insurance, and follow up on billing.
- Assist Community Education Coordinators as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all district policies, staff, and handbooks.
- Perform other reasonable related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management.
- Be adaptable to revisions or changes in job duties and responsibilities as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills and software applications.
