Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Collect, document, monitor, and review inventory data for accuracy and timeliness within ERP. Analyze and reconcile physical and perpetual inventory levels
- Ensures seamless movement of products and inventory from warehouse to floor and vice versa
- Manage delivery of raw material to production through communication with utility/material handlers using FIFO.
- Trains and provides support to Lead Utilities on scan guns and the menu options and drives awareness of the importance of scanning transactions
- Monitors inventory levels very closely and resolves any issues that may become apparent.
- Document inventory discrepancies, such as missing or mislabeled items; and work with the appropriate parties to correct.
- Conduct month-end inventory validation to ensure Good vs. Disposition is accurate by leveraging the daily good vs. disposition report in conjunction with Cost Accountant’s weekly report
- Ensure all inventory is cycle counted per Company Policy
- Monitors packaging, purchased component, MTO material, and Misc inventory levels, issues replenishment orders to suppliers per production demand requirements
- Receives Maintenance and Tooling supply requests, places orders with suppliers
- Interacts with Production Supervisor to provide feedback on inventory discrepancies at the press
- Reviews all transaction logs for previous day’s production run to verify accuracy on inventory movement
- Check all raw material labels turned in by shift Supervisors for the previous shift to ensure they have all been scanned to a press for consumption
- Interact with Quality on label corrections and locating parts
- Audit material/part dispositions are correct and have taken place at the press
- After thorough review and investigation of inventory variances, process manual corrections transactions in accordance with Corporate Cost Accounting recommended codes
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- 3-5 years experience working with inventory management software
- Former purchasing experience is desirable
- Attention to detail to detect any discrepancies regarding inventory
- Shows the ability to solve complex problems individually and quickly.
- Communicates professionally and effectively with others to implement inventory control plans.
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), an ERP system and other related software utilizing a Windows platform.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Tow Motor certification
