JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for setting and clearing dining tables and stocks service stations in the hotels; continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
PAY: This is a tipped position. You will receive tips every shift.
REPORTS TO: Dining Room Supervisor
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.
1. Set and prepare tables for dining including but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning, placing tableware, and serving water.
2. Ensure tableware is in good and working condition and report any defects for repair.
3. Stock, maintain, and clean designated food stations.
4. Assist servers (food) with table service, including but not limited to, serving beverages and breads.
5. Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dish washing area.
6. Respond to guest inquiries and requests; resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
7. Practice safe work habits; comply with attendance rules and be available for work on a regular basis.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have the ability to communicate in English. A self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to” pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs through a crowded room. Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 150 lbs.
