Salary Range: $57,000 - $67,000

Who we are looking for:
Do you enjoy meeting deadlines? Are you passionate about helping people and organizations thrive? KNKX is seeking a Full-time Business Support Account Executive to support our Business Support department. The Business Support Account Executive (AE) is responsible for identifying and supporting the development of new customer relationships and target categories, while building deeper marketing partnerships with existing sponsors. The AE sells sponsorships across the station’s radio, digital, and events platforms. The individual in the role will be responsible for creating client packages, ensuring compliance with FCC regulations, ad analytics and data reporting; and the department’s use of CRM software. The AE reports to the Director of Business Support and participates in department meetings.
You will be empowered to achieve individual sales goals, which includes prospecting, setting appointments, and conducting needs analysis to fully understand the business goals of the prospect. As the AE you will present options to the client that meet the client’s needs and work to ensure success of the campaign. This will include writing copy that is both legal by FCC standards and is an effective way to communicate to the KNKX audience.

Some of what you will be doing:
- Build and maintain a positive working relationship within station.
- Participate in station activities such as meetings, events, and pledge drives when required. (These may require work to be done after hours or on weekends.)
- Meet station deadlines for traffic, production and accounting as established.
- Act in a professional manner and treat all staff members with respect.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Follow the station process and systems for sales reports as laid out by the Director of Business Support.
- Prepare and enter contract and sales orders into appropriate computer systems.
- Develop and process all correspondence and paperwork related to accounts.
- Monitor market conditions, current industry information, prices and sales.
- Perform collections activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Knowledge of local market as well as sales and marketing principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling. This includes marketing strategy and tactics and sales techniques.
- Language Skills: Ability to write reports, presentations, copy and general business correspondence.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and strategize about solutions.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and account management software. Ability to work with a variety of Windows based software programs and market research software.
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, plus a minimum of 5 years’ relevant business experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current driver's license
