Business Operations Manager

Salary $120,000 - 130,000 per annum
Position Summary
The Business Operations Manager for MRO Services will serve as the primary interface for the General Manager (GM) for all MRO Services programs. This position will be responsible for daily supervision of the workflow of the MRO Services Department. They will work with management staff to coordinate technical support and communications as well as utilize organizational and analytical skills to manage daily tasks and resolve problems.
Responsibilities
- Primary interface for the GM for MRO Services programs.
- Coordinate all MRO Services related tasks.
- Serve as central authority for coordinating all MRO Services functions and scheduling.
- Collect and prioritize MRO Services information and responses for the GM.
- Primary point of contact between senior managers and employees.
- Assist in developing and monitoring MRO Services budgetary requirements.
- Personnel management 50%; Training, Process/policy management, and Communications, 50%.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Aviation, Program Management, or related discipline; concentration in Business Administration a plus.
- 15 years' experience in production, squadron or higher level of aircraft production and maintenance management, with formal training coordinating aircraft maintenance and production.
- Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in a relevant field or industry.
- Strong business or administrative project management skills, including coordination and scheduling these activities; project management software.
- Previous military tactical aircraft production and maintenance experience.
- Familiarity or experience with project management and aircraft production and maintenance.
- Valid state driver's license.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Experience/Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft operations and thorough knowledge of aviation safety requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership/management abilities.
- Strong business analysis and business case development skills.
- P&L management budgetary creation and ability to present this information.
- Military background preferred.
- Proven analytical and evaluation skills.
- Strong PC-based computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, including, e-mail/calendar applications; virtual office/cloud-based file sharing. SharePoint experience a plus.
- Ability to manage files/records in compliance with standard or required recordkeeping practices.
- Ability to comfortably manage multiple tasks and projects utilizing time management and organization skills.
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).
Work Authorization
- Aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- Occasional non-standard telework, work-from-home, or flexible work hours may be coordinated upon supervisor approval.
- Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work is required.
- Occasional travel to various work sites internationally may be required.
