Business Intelligence Analyst - Marketing

What we’re looking for:

The Business Intelligence Analyst - Marketing will be adept at working with complex data sets, have a deep understanding of marketing automation platforms, and be proficient in leveraging our data warehouse to provide actionable insights. This role involves collaborating with different departments to optimize marketing strategies, drive credit union growth, and increase return on investment on marketing campaigns.

What you’ll do:

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze complex data sets from Marketing automation platform and/or credit union data warehouse to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to the credit union's membership. Develop regular reports and dashboards that provide marketing and management teams actionable insights. Assist the Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst in integrating new data sources into the data warehouse, including evaluating, recommending, and implementing software tools to assist with credit union Business Intelligence requirements.
• Member Segmentation and Targeting: Utilize data to segment the member base and identify opportunities for personalized marketing in partnership with the credit union’s marketing and member services teams, among others. This involves understanding member needs, behaviors, and preferences to assist in tailoring marketing efforts effectively.
• Marketing Strategy Development: Work closely with the marketing team to develop data-driven marketing strategies. This includes contributing to campaign planning efforts and the execution and evaluation of campaigns based on data insights
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including Technology enterprise applications and all our business partners, to ensure a cohesive approach to member relationship management. The goal is to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
• Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities. This helps adapt strategies to maintain and enhance the credit union's market position.
• Predictive Analytics: Using sophisticated tools, perform predictive modeling to forecast future trends in member behavior, product preferences, and market dynamics. This will aid in proactive decision making and strategy formulation.
• Performance Measurement and Optimization: Monitor and measure the performance of marketing initiatives against KPIs. Use insights to optimize ongoing and future campaigns for better engagement and ROI.
• Data Governance and Compliance: Ensure all marketing data practices comply with legal standards and ethical guidelines, particularly in handling sensitive member information.
• Training and Development: Stay abreast of the latest Business Intelligence and marketing analytics tools, techniques, and best practices. Provide training or recommendations for upskilling where necessary.
• Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, translating complex data into understandable and actionable information.

What you bring to the Credit Union:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably in a marketing context
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large data sets and data warehouses (experience with Lodestar is a plus)
• Experience with marketing automation platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Financial Institution experience is extremely preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively while also being comfortable working with independence
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and experimental design is desirable

Bay Federal is proud to offer a competitive, robust compensation and benefits package. Bay Federal considers many factors in determining base pay such as experience, education/training, internal peer equity, job location, and other business considerations when extending an offer. For Santa Cruz, CA only, the pay scale Bay Federal reasonably expects to pay for this position is $95,000 – 118,000 annually. Salaries are based on the geographic location in which you live if working remotely.
