CloseKnit is currently hiring a Business Development Lead to join their team.

PURPOSE:

The Business Development Lead develops and implements the business and sales strategy roadmap, operates cross-functionally with sales, product, and technology peers, and functions successfully in a dynamic work environment in pursuit of attracting and landing new Payer and employer customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Business Development Lead is responsible for refining and executing the Business Development and sales vision, strategy, and objectives of CloseKnit, driving our growth and expanding our external client base within the payer and employer segments. Leveraging your strong Business Development skills and proven sales experience, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with key external stakeholders to secure new business contracts.

The Business Development Leads operational responsibilities include:

  • Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Development strategy tailored to the unique needs of our business, with a focus on achieving revenue targets and market penetration.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to closure, utilizing necessary tools and analytics to track progress and optimize sales performance.
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within the payer and employer sectors through targeted lead generation and prospecting efforts.
  • Proposal Development and Presentation: Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition of our virtual healthcare solutions to prospective clients.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients in partnership with our Head of Finance to secure favorable terms and agreements that align with company objectives and ensure mutual success.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent CloseKnit in appropriate external sales, marketing, and Business Development conferences, summits, or other external facing spaces.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and operations, to drive alignment and ensure successful execution of Business Development initiatives.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a business, product, or healthcare-related field and some form of graduate education (i.e. MBA, MHA, MS, etc.)

Experience: 7 years of experience in a Business Development or sales role including but not limited to: CCO, CRO, or VP of Business Development at an early or growth-stage business with proven track record of success of selling into payers and large employers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare startups in primary care or virtual care.
  • Additional graduate education (MBA, MHA, other Masters degree, PhD) in a business or health-related discipline.
  • Proven track record of thought leadership in healthcare.
  • Proven, high-performing track record in positions of responsibility for business plan development and execution.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proven ability to translate market dynamics and customer needs into sales strategies.
  • Experience building, iterating on executing sales pipelines.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical, design, product, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Experience engaging and articulating the needs of customers and users while translating those needs into a sales strategy and roadmap.
  • Experience forming and fostering strategic relationships with executive leadership at client and partner organizations.
  • Independent thinker and self-starter who can make decisions strategically and creatively to drive tactical execution and motivate productivity without supervision.


Salary Range: $143,760 - $256,971
