Pella Mid-Atlantic is seeking a results-driven Data Analyst to join our corporate team. This individual will report to our Business Manager and will support various projects and initiatives that are critical to our growth and touch our sales and operational functions. We are seeking insatiably curious candidates with strong numerical skills who are energized by creating and using financial reporting and data analytics to highlight key areas of focus for the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting
- Create interactive dashboards and reports that communicate insights to stakeholders using tools like Power BI, and MS products
- Implement tools and strategies to translate raw data into business insights
- Extract reports from multiple sources and report out company-wide metrics
- Stay informed on industry trends to appropriately interpret data and improve performance
- Synthesize data into usable representations
- Assess progress on financial and operational benchmarks
- Create recommendations for future action
- Assist with business process improvement and automation projects to help streamline current activities
- Analyze data in light of the company’s strategy and objectives
- Partner with various stakeholders across the company to better understand how data can assist their decision-making
Qualifications
- Experience in data analysis and reporting; construction industry knowledge is a plus
- Strong expertise in Excel, including advanced features. VBA is a plus.
- SQL Server database design, maintenance, and querying
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Prior experience with working in ERPs. Great Plains is a plus.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills and business intelligence with a high attention to detail
- Loves to get hands dirty by working alongside employees and partnering with other departments
- Possesses a thirst for knowledge and driving determination to “find a better way” to optimize problems. Views problems as an interesting challenge, not a hurdle.
