AHN/RHS are two behavioral health IPAs with providers touching over 100,000 lives across NYC, Long Island, and Upstate New York. Through the BHCC effort, these IPAs are tasked with moving behavioral health providers into Value Based Payment arrangements with managed care organizations.
Role and Responsibilities
· Develop reports using SQL, Excel, R/Python, and Tableau
· Automation of processes using Python, R, Microsoft Power Automate, batch scripts
· Support the build, development and/or implementation of defined risk models focused on medical, behavioral health and socioeconomic factors
· Develop statistically sound reports on various population health studies
· Work with project managers to develop, refine, and test workflows
· Manage relationships and trust with business partners and work to understand their businesses to deliver pro-active reporting
· Miscellaneous data/IT tasks
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 3-5 years’ work experience in healthcare related field
· Must have healthcare experience (3-5 years)
· Must have database experience writing SQL queries (3-5 years)
· Knowledge of clinical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, NDC); application within the behavioral health area is preferred
· Ability to offer innovative technical solutions to streamline workflows and processes
· Enjoys conducting research and taking an business approach to solving problems
· Process engineering mindset providing scalable, sustainable and well-documented solutions
· Possess an undergraduate degree in computer science or healthcare related field
· Detail oriented with ability to manage projects independently
· Strong coding skills for data analysis and data manipulation
· Experience working with healthcare data sets (EMR and claims)
· Hands-on experience with a behavioral health focused electronic medical record (preferred)
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Interest in growing their career in Data and Information Technology
· Ability to work in a face paced startup environment
