Horizon BCBS seeks a Business Continuity Generalist Intern with a passion for emergency preparedness, crisis management, and creative problem-solving. The Intern will gain hands-on experience helping to support day to day activities of the Business Continuity Management Team. The incumbent will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and others on the Business Continuity Management Team.

Responsibilities:
- Plan updates (e.g. Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Pandemic)
- Review of Business Impact Analysis & Business Continuity Plans in Fusion system
- Revisions to legacy procedures
- Development of training brochures and/or exercises
- Preparation for National Emergency Preparedness Month
- Records retention
- Assist Team in third party vendor reviews
Requirements:
- Requires High School Diploma
- Emergency Preparedness or Business Continuity major
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well on teams
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- FEMA or related certifications a plus
Additional Information:
- Gain hands-on Business Continuity experience in a collaborative work environment
- Shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with subject matter experts in the emergency preparedness field
- Possibility to continue Internship during Fall/Spring Semester
